The latest heat wave finally relented and the temps were below 90° in evening, so I headed out to Lone Elm Park after work.
I decided to use the Packtenna 29′ EFRW along with the KX2, so I could do some band hopping if necessary. I started calling CQ on 40 and worked my way through 30 to 20 meters. I was able to get 19 hunters in the log in a little less than an hour. Then I jumped on 17 meters to chase an activator in Puerto Rico.
All said, 20 contacts and a lot of fun!
