The weather (wind) finally cooperated and I was able to get out to Hillsdale State Park for a Parks On The Air activation. It was sunny and warm for February 25. I used a 41′ End Fed Random Wire antenna that I built a couple of years ago in a sloper configuration going up to a 20′ mast. The hunters were calling within a couple of minutes of me calling CQ, and I continued to make contacts at a steady pace on 20m. Once it kind of quieted down, I moved over to 15m hoping for some DX, but none was to be had.
I was only running 3 watts today.
